It takes one minute to achieve lasting happiness. How ? read on
I recently lost it at work. I got triggered by a conversation with a team mate and was angry after a very long time. The flame of anger remained in me for a while and did not go out.
Until.
I decided to go back to basics and practice the 1 minute routine of breathing in and out.
Sitting down quietly without my phone I put one hand on my stomach and closed my eyes.
Breathe in. Notice and focus on the incoming breath.
Breathe out. Notice and focus on the outgoing breath.
Repeat.
As I did this I saw the red colour of anger dissipate and then be replaced with calm.
On a regular day one minute of breathing in and out brings focus.
On a difficult day one minute of breathing in and out brings calm.
Before any challenging task one minute of breathing in and out helps us get ready.
A powerful yogic and buddhist tool, 1 minute of breathing in and out done everyday, brings a life time of happiness.
Practice it today.
